Whether the jewelry looks good on the person or the price is right is important when purchasing high priced jewelry. A gem identification report shows an analysis of the type of gem and its authenticity for all types of gems. A grading report is only for diamonds and analyzes the quality of diamonds by the 4C. The price is not shown on either of the reports. Because of the diverse number of natural stones and remarkable advances in synthetic technologies, identification and grading requires a high level of specialized knowledge and experience. Due to the reasons, a gem identification report and a diamond grading report are the most efficient method for reassurance and would be a huge clue in case gems were stolen or lost.
